"I work again with the single 1-square-meter format. I'm also looking for extreme sharpness on certain details like the skin texture,a slight duvet, eyes, eyelids... It's fascinating, both tender and cruel. If you look closer, you'll notice a plaster at the top of a finger, tiny flies, traces of sun or make-up,... I don't want to erase these things because they tell us stories. When you see them, your imagination runs free, you wonder how it happens that they ended up on the artwork you're looking at."
